# Email Verification & Deliverability Audit

> Pre-flight deliverability validation, SMTP reputation protection, bounce prevention, and bulk verification checks.

### 11 Email Verification Audit

Field-captured email addresses are frequently mistyped or outdated. The Email Verification module validates email deliverability directly within BoothMaven before you launch follow-up outreach, safeguarding your outbound SMTP server reputation and preventing bounce penalties.

#### Verification Statuses & Indicators

Access the verification log from the Contacts header by clicking the **Email Verification Card** or navigating to /leads/contacts/verify-email/list. Each verified email is assigned a deliverability status:

* **Verified (Deliverable)** — The email address was successfully handshake-validated with the destination mail server and is safe to send.
* **Not Verified / Failed** — The mailbox does not exist, domain mx records are invalid, syntax is malformed, or the server returned an explicit bounce.
* **Unknown (Catch-All / Greylisted)** — The receiving domain accepts all inbound emails or temporarily rate-limited the verification probe.

#### Running Email Verification in Bulk

1. In the **Contacts** list, select the contacts you wish to verify.
2. Open the **Bulk Actions** dropdown and choose **Verify Email**.
3. BoothMaven dispatches verification checks in the background. Results populate the **Email Verification Audit** table with detailed failure reasons (e.g. *"Mailbox not found"*, *"Syntax error"*, *"Disposable domain"*) and confidence scores.
4. Filter contacts in the main list by verification status to exclude non-deliverable emails from mass outreach campaigns.
